Toll receipt - note the points

You are travelling on National Highways in your personal or rented vehicle like car. you are paying toll charges on the road. This is not to discuss whether it is correct or not. But there are few information on the receipt

It contains the date and time you cross the toll plaza. That is a proof that your vehicle was out of station. But that can not prove, who was inside the vehicle.

Next, on the front page or backside there are important and useful phone numbers.
Ambulance number is there
NH patrol vehicle contact number is there
Toll plaza number is there.

Suppose, unexpectedly the vehicle involves in any accident or any breakdown. You can call these numbers for help. Patrol vehicle will be there on the NH at least 50 km distance. So you will get assistance within 40 minutes. If they inform nearby police station, they will arrive more early.

And one more thing.

After your journey, take xerox copies of the receipts and preserve. Or scan and save in your computer in separate folder - toll receipts. This is eligible for IT exemptions. When you make a trip, you are paying around rs.1000 plus as toll charges. Once in 3 months means rs.4000. So you are eligible for exemption. For more infor in this regard, please consult your auditor.

I hope the information is useful.
